ATFL News
APRIL 2010
Dear Thoroughbred Friends and Supporters,
After the Finish Line works smart to attain our goals of helping rescued Thoroughbreds. This year After the Finish Line anticipates funding 50 Thoroughbred rescue organizations and 300 horses. Last year we reached our goal of funding 45 rescue organizations helping 200 horses. We thank our donors for their commitment to our cause. Without your support and donations, ATFL would not be able to answer the many calls for help from the Thoroughbreds.
After the Finish Line invites you to our 2010 Annual Charity Fundraiser, “A Tribute to the Majesty of Thoroughbreds” on Thursday, August 5 from 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm in Del Mar, California. We will host a reception, silent and live auctions and dinner. Please join ATFL in making our fundraiser a success by donating in-kind items, gift cards or services for our silent and live auctions. Without you this fundraiser would not be a success.
Our fundraiser documents, Save the Date, Invitation, Donor Letter and Donor Agreement are located on the home page of our website, www.afterthefinishline.org.
If you live outside of California or the local area, you can send a monetary donation or auction item for the fundraiser to our address below or by using our Paypal account.
This month After the Finish Line awarded grants to Thoroughbred rescue organizations. These dedicated organizations work hard to save, care for and rehabilitate the Thoroughbreds so they can transition off the racetrack and into a new career. With great pride we announce our 2010 grant recipients: Our Mims, CANTER-CA, Friends of Ferdinand, ReRun, Bright Futures Farm, Kentucky Equine Humane Center, CANTER-MI, The Flag Foundation, Mountain View Rescue and Heaven Can Wait. Congratulations to the Thoroughbreds!
Please let us know about a Thoroughbred in need. After the Finish Line was created for Thoroughbreds that have no means of support after their racing and breeding careers are over. Your donation matters.
Please visit our booth #1909 at America’s Family Pet Expo at the Orange County Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa, CA April 16 – 18. Our friends at Odor-No-More, Inc., the event sponsor, generously donated booth space to promote After the Finish Line.
Please join After the Finish Line’s FAN Facebook page.
Sincerely,
,
